We take pride in introducing your goodselves to the ancient Tamil martial art of Silambam. This art is one of the oldest martial arts. Silambam is supposedly originated almost 5000 years ago. The art was patronized by the ancient Chola, Chera and Pandya kings of South India during the Sangam period. The Maravar pada of Travancore kings used silambam in their warfare against enemies. Many Southeast Asian martial arts were influenced by silambam.
